PROFILE
5 years post qualified Architect, with 8 years all round experience in the construction industry; diverse experienced in all project-types, sizes and stages of works. I have led multi disciplinary teams on large commercial projects in the UK, problem solving while over seeing the production of both technical drawing packages and bid package. I have project managed large luxurious residential housing projects from inception through to completion; using my excellent communication skills and strong design and presentation skills to liaise with wealthy domestic clients to produce designs that matched their vision and expectations. A newly created and expanding practice based in central Bermuda that specialises in high-quality residential projects. I was employed to work a broad variety of projects, including large multi million dollar housing projects, hotel, retail, industrial and office developments.
Harbour Court North, Tuckers Point Club, Bermuda
4 luxury residential units, that formed part of a large master-plan for the development of tuckers town. I ran the project from conception through to completion, working and liaise with the developer and later the client who purchased the units .

Luxury house, swimming pool and annexe buildings. Worked with a domestic client to alter and extend an existing house; design from concept through to completion a high specification house. I worked on the bid in the final months of the design, helping, assisting and coordinating students with the final elements of design and presentation.

2 months contract work at a commercial Edinburgh practice, working as Project Architect on a £2.6m, 1,600 m2 Ambulance Station from stage C to E.

I began work on the project at stage D, after the project-restarted having been frozen for 4.5 years. I was responsible for making amendments to suit changes to the client’s requirements, changes required to achieve current regulations as well as developing the design to stage G. I liased with the contractor and project manager to create the design release programme and building warrant strategy required to achieve an ambitious start on site date.

school/community centre.
Raploch Community Campus, Stirling, Scotland
Building a new community centre at the centre of a large master plan redevelopment. The building houses a community centre, sports centre, nursery, special needs school, and two primary schools. I worked on the project post planning, coordinating and developing the steel design and preparing envelope details.

Yeoman Mcallister, Architects 2005 Oct – 2006 Jan, Roseburn, Edinburgh
3 months contract work at an established Edinburgh practice, producing technical drawings for 2 large scale, high rise housing developments in Edinburgh, Leith and Aberdeen.
Ocean Drive, Leith, Edinburgh
Development of a brown field, waterside, (8000 m2/ 86,000 ft2) site in Leith for Cala Homes.
Creating 100 luxury flats in 3 high rise blocks sitting upon and connected by a large basement car park. Total floor area 9,800 m2 /105,000 ft2 .Contract value £30m / $52m (approximately).
Worked at stage E-G, prepared building warrant application.
Hilton Campus, Aberdeen, Phase 5
Development of a brown field 96,500 m2/ 1,000,000 ft2 site in old Aberdeen for Cala homes. Final phase 5 development of 12,000 m2 / 130,000 ft2 section of the site with a variety of housing types, including small villa flats, terrace housing, town house and small blocks of flats. Creating of 63 units with a total floor area of 6000m2 / 65,000 ft2. Worked on the project at stage D-F.
Hurd Rolland Partnership 2004 May – 2005 Oct, New Town, Edinburgh
A practice with offices in Manchester, Fife and London, I was employed in the Edinburgh Office which had recently been set up and required someone with all round abilities to work on multiple projects. My work included producing Building Warrant/Tender drawings and NBS on large commercial developments, designing and creating presentation drawing for feasibility studies/submission and running smaller projects on listed public buildings.
Abertay Hall of Residence, Dundee
500 bed student halls of residence in Dundee City Centre.
Role: Technical Architect developing the design from planning through to tender, preparing NBS.
I was responsible for insuring the design conformed to the current regulations, liaising with Building Control on various issues to ensure relaxations would be granted.

Renovation of Ballingry & Lochcraig Parish Church, Fife
Renovation of Church to incorporate "multi-function space" and provide additional community facilities. Role: Project Architect from the initial design through to construction. I was responsible for coordinating drawings with a team and preparing NBS. Leasing with design team and clients during all stages of the project.

Achieving building warrant for a heavily sustainable timber framed, flag ship office building.
Role: Technical Architect developing the detailed design of the building to Building Warrant.
